Kolkata experiences relief as heavy rain finally arrives, providing respite from the intense heat
Monsoon yet to fully arrive in Bengal, but North Bengal expected to receive heavy rainfall in the coming days
Southern districts issued heat warning as they continue to grapple with high temperatures

After enduring scorching temperatures for several days, residents of Kolkata received respite as heavy rainfall graced the city on Friday at around 3:30 pm.

While monsoon is yet to fully arrive in Bengal, the rain brought relief to the parched city dwellers. However, the southern districts continue to battle the sweltering heat, prompting authorities to issue a heat warning.

On a positive note, the Alipore Meteorological Department has forecasted favorable conditions for the arrival of monsoon in North Bengal, with heavy rainfall expected in the region in the coming days.
